Wai Hong (born 1982 in Shanghai) is an artist based in Paris. A calligrapher and painter trained in the highest Chinese ink wash tradition, her works transport ink calligraphy into the contemporary. Wai uses her brush with uncommon skill, mastering the nuances of ink a well as the wash effect. Her works, using live with live models, exude an intimacy rare in Chinese painting. They are both highly feminine and feminist, examples of not just the beauty of the female form but also, somehow, their bold claim to independence in love and in spirit Her works have been exhibited in Macao, Hong Kong, Shanghai,Taiwan, Singapore, Melbourne, Montreal, London, and Paris.

2012 -Group exhibition "Time, Through the Eyes of Art", curated by Singapore Magazine Nu You Time. Ten award-winning artists from different disciplines have been asked to interpret time using their own art form as a celebration of the magazine's 10th anniversary.
